How do I deal with the Pub/Bar Environment?
Hi Christians, tomorrow there is a work meeting/party at a pub where there will be free drink tickets (alcohol included) with free food buffet.
As a believer in Christ, I feel I shouldn’t even go there but it is a part of work so I have to be there. Other than not drinking alcohol, is there anything that I should or shouldn’t do to avoid temptation or anything that will cause me sin? Anything I need to watch out for?

If booze is NOT a temptation to you by all means you should go. Jesus was hated for going into the hell holes of life and taking with “sinners.” The name of the game in spiritual life is to enjoy “life” and just NOT get caught up in the things worldly people do. You can love and enjoy them without being an idiot and also be available if someone is in trouble from drinking. You could offer to drive them home etc. Spiritual life “in Christ” is just that! You can APPEAR in Christ without appearing as a stand off jerk and by making yourself AVAILABLE to your coworkers if they have a need. That’s love at it’s best and I know this STUFF from personal experience of being a beer salesman and a Christian. I had MORE problem with simpleminded Christians that with the godless. so much so that I finally got fed up and told the Christian perhaps your bother or son is in that bar or pub. With the self righteous attitude of many Christians such individuals will never come to Christ. In time the Lord led me out of that industry and it is not Jesus who does the delivering of us all?
