Strapless Corsets
What kind of alterations can be done to eliminate back fat on a strapless gown?
I am 5′ 2 and 120 pounds. I excercise regulary and I am in fairly decent shape. I am shopping for a wedding gown and it seems that 90% of the selections are strapless. I have found 2 dresses that I really look from most angles except for the skin that hangs out in the back. Both these dresses are corsets. Are there any type of alterations that can be done to camoflauge this area? I don’t want to limit my selections to v-necks and halters.
Well strapless gowns do not look good on everyone. They really are made for the ultra thin. I personally don’t think it’s a good idea to even consider it because of the fact that your back will be facing everyone at the exchanging of the vows ceremony and that’s what they will see.
As for alterations the only thing is make sure its not too tight so the skin doesnt hang over.
If I were you I would look for something with cap sleeves. They just rest on the shoulders and create a beautiful silhouette. You have to make sure you feel comfortable on your important day. I think that if you wear a strapless you’re going to be concerned about it the whole time.
