Question about Saif Ali Khan and Shah Ruhk Khan/Filmfare awards 2008?
Okay…I’ll be honest, I think both Saif and Shah are cool as heck. But did anyone of yall see that award show they hosted? OMG I was like nodding my head through the entire time. They reminded me of those dorks who think they are cool by saying stupid jokes (kinda like me lol). No, but I thought they were a little offensive too with the gay bashing jokes (not cool) and the Vidya Balan “like to see you in and out of clothes” joke. I couldn’t tell you how many times I saw Kareena roll her eyes in a “sigh..is it over yet” kinda manner.
And what the heck was up with those tuxedos – they looked like 2 Chippendale dancers. I was waiting for the music to come on for them to do a little strip tease for Kareena and the girls in the front row (thank goodness that didn’t happen).
No doubts that Saif and SRK are ultra coool but I feel the kind of sense of humor displayed sucked! I enjoyed it myself but was very insulting to the patrons and great band of actors sitting downstairs. Yes, they did make mockery of themselves too ( coming on semi nude stage) but the context was bad. Nariyal Awards were disgusting, probably they are hinting that there should only be masala made in Bollywood and now one should dare to experiment. Good way to go bollywood, strangely no one except one protested, I think all there are coward to stand upright in front of the organising company! The reason is everyone enjoyed the publicity, right said – Any kind of Publicity is Good Publicity.
