Adamand Eve
for all you bible smart adam and eve fans out there…?
In the king james bible, the beginning of the book that in the seven days god made this and that, he created adamand eve as the first people on his earth, then it reads that adam and eve were reproached by god from the garden of eden. after the apple incident. they left the garden of eden and came upon the land of id where they met (forgot who sorry) and he led them to his city to dwell etc
my question……if adam and eve were the first people god created, who in the heck are the people from id. and how did the city get there?
okay to some of you are saying they are the children of adam and eve. so I am to believe they frolicked in eden for a couple of hundered years before they met the snake?
also for the reserchers who could not find the info, I will look in my bible tonight and get back to you, I know I read it cause I don’t have any other bible and I don’t know enough to make it up.
First, you should go back and read the text because you’re a little (but not far) off from what it says. Adam and Eve weren’t led to another city to meet people, but their son Cain did do this. In Genesis 4:16 it says that he went to the land of Nod, and we can presume from the next verse that he found his wife there. All of the people in the land of Nod were the descendants of Adam and Eve, just as are all of us today. This makes sense after you realize that the Bible tells us explicitly in Genesis 5:4 that they had other children besides the three (Cain, Able, and Seth) that are mentioned by name. They were fulfilling God’s command to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth (Gen. 1:28), so there is not really as much of a mystery here as it seems.
